JAM OF THE DAY: 'Only the Young'- Brandon Flowers

So, you listened to this song by the one and only Brandon Flowers. You're already in love with him but this song, off his first album as a stand-alone singer, 'Flamingo' made you absolutely crazy.

The song is wonderful, with lyrics whose meanings are profound and that slow suave rythm that you now associate with Brandon and have come to love.

ONLY THE YOUNG

Look back in silence; the cradle of your whole life.
There in the distance, loosing it's greatest pride.
Nothing is easy, nothing is sacred. Why?
Where did the bow break?
It happened before your time.

There were people there, lovely as you'd ever care.
Tonight.
Baby you can start again.
Laughing in the open air; have yourself another dream.
Tonight.
Baby we can start again.

Only the young can break away, break away.
Lost when the wind blows; on your own, ohh...
Only the young can break away, break away.
Lost when the wind blows; on your own, ohh...
[ Lyrics from: http://www.lyricsty.com/brandon-flowers-only-the-young-lyrics.html ]
Mother it's cold here. Father thy will be done.
Thunder and lightning are crashing down.
They got me on the run, direct me to the sun.
Redemption keep my covers clean tonight.
Baby we can start again.

Only the young can break away, break away.
Lost when the wind blows; on your own, ohh...
Only the young can break away, break away.
Lost when the wind blow; on your own, ohh...

And the sun will shine again.
And the sun will shine again.
Are you looking for the sign?
Or are you confident?

Hahahahaha.
Hahahahaha.

Only the young can break away, break away.
Lost when the wind blows; on your own, ohh...
Only the young can break away, break away.
Lost when the wind blows; on your own, ohh...

Only the young can...
Lost when the wind blows...
Only the young can... ha ha ha ha ha
Lost when the wind blows...
